Orebic
is a tourist town on peninsula Peljesac. During its past
Orebic was well known for its vines and vinyards.
Orebic
is situated on southern shores of Peljesac peninsula which
can be easily reached by a car or a bus by road from main
land or by ferry (Ploce - Trpanj).
Orebic
as well as all of Peljesac is surrounded by typical
Mediterranean vegetation, and by a number of sunny day
during a year it is one of sunniest places on Adriatic.
Today Orebic
is well organized tourist center:
guests can find accommodations in hotel, private rooms and
apartments. There are many sport and recreation facilities
in town (tennis, socer),
on the beaches guests can rent equipment for water sports or
join sailing and wind surfing schools. Beautiful
surroundings is ideal for hiking and collecting herbs while
inland slopes are covered with vineyards and vine roads
where guests can by original sort of vines and sherry. There
is a big sandy beach in Orebic (Trstenica), for those guests
who like rocks and solitude there is many hidden bays with
